German 4/4 1850 Early Commercial Grade Hopf Copy Violin

This pretty full size violin for sale is an old German shopHopf made before 1850; it has a fine neck graft along with a typical Hopf body shape.  It appears to be one of the early commercial grade violins, making it substantially nicer than many more recent Hopf instruments.  It has a nice one piece back with a tight curl, and “Hopf” is stamped below the neck juncture.  There is no additional label or brand inside the body of this instrument.  The Hopf Violin’s body is in perfect condition except for one insignificant f-hole crack repair by the right f-hole.  There are also some few varnish blemishes in keeping with the violin’s age.  The tone is bright and very full for an older instrument.
