Description

This attractive full size violin for sale is an Amati copy crafted in Germany in 1913 and labeled “Antonio Curatoli”.  It is unclear who used the Curatoli tradename, although it is suspected that E.R. Schmidt used it in instruments destined for the United States to be sold by Sears Roebuck. This violin is particularly lovely for a Curatoli Violin; it has an oil varnish as opposed to spirit, and it has beautiful wood and construction.  This instrument is in very good shape and has no history of repairs.  The tone of this violin is smooth and full with ringing overtones over the full register.

Priced at $6200.00This would make a fine violin for an advanced high school/ college student.
