Czech 4/4 1931 Ladislav F Prokop Shop Violin

This attractive, full-size violin for sale was made in the Ladislav F Prokop workshop in 1931.  Made in the city of Chrudimi, Bohemia (now the Czech Republic), this violin comes from the workshop of the most reputable Prokop.  Ladislav worked until his death in the 1920’s, and the shop existed for another decade under the care of his wife and son.  This violin was produced under their watch.  This Prokop Violin has a fine one-piece back with a tight curl and nice flame.  The sound is very full for a Bohemian violin; the violin projects well.  The only repair is a minor top crack to the right of the saddle.  Prokop violins have good reputations for being respectable instruments.
