Italian 4/4 2003 Francesco Marionis Violin

This lovely full size violin for sale was made in Milan, ITALY by Francesco Marionis in 2003.  It has a modern Italian look with a nice golden oil varnish.  Clearly substantial time and care went into the making of this violin.  The back is nicely flamed and the scroll is nicely carved.  The fittings are made of boxwood.  This Marionis Violin is brand new, and thus it has no blemishes or flaws.  The tone is big and rich; there are many ringing overtones.  For $12250, this violin would make an excellent instrument for a serious college violinist.
