French 7/8 1891 Laberte-Humbert Frères “Antonio Torelli” Violin

This nice 7/8 violin for sale was made in Mirecourt, FRANCE and labeled A. Torelli.  The Antonio Torelli label was owned by the Lambert-Humbert Frères factory, and it was applied to this violin in 1891.  This particular violin is very nicely made; it has highly flamed wood, a beautifully carved body, and a nice looking scroll.  This 7/8 Torelli Violin is completed with a nice yellow-orange varnish and lovely parts.  There are a couple varnish blemishes, but otherwise this instrument is in fabulous shape.  This instrument’s sound is quite nice; the violin is rich and ringing without being overly bright.
