Romanian 16″ 2005 Simon Nandor Model 570 Viola

This attractive 16″ viola for was made in Reghin, ROMANIA in 2006 by Simon Nandor.  Mr. Simon is the younger son of the Simon violin making family, and he is highly skilled at his trade.  This particular viola, a model 570, is an excellent example of Nandor Simon’s work.  It has a highly flamed 2-piece back made of Carpathian maple; the front has a nice tight grain spruce.  The carving and attention to detail are both good.  This 16″ Simon Nandor Viola has a deep sound that projects well and rings better than most every Romanian instrument.  The viola is new and is in perfect condition.
