German 4/4 violin bow made by Albert Nurnberger prior to 1931. Nurnberger is sliver mounted with ebony frog and round stick; bow is in very fine condition.
Description
This very fine full size German violin bow for sale was made by Albert Nurnberger sometime prior to his death in 1931. This Nurnberger Violin Bow has a lovely silver mounting on an ebony frog; the pernambuco stick is round. It has lighter handling than many similarly priced German bows, yet because the bow has excellent camber, it plays all different bow strokes extremely well. The sound this violin bow produces is sweet and even, yet at the same time it projects powerfully. It is in good shape without any warping, damage, or other defect from age and use.
Nurnberger bows are currently a huge rage, so priced at $2500.00, this bow would make a good investment as well as making an excellent stick for an advanced/professional violinist.
