German 4/4 1910 E Martin Maggini Copy Violin

This German violin for sale is a Paolo Maggini copy and bears the label “E Martin, Sachsen” as well as an EM stamp under the neck.  Made c 1910 in Saxony, this violin does not appear to be made by E Martin himself; Martin was probably a trade name used so that it could be imported by C Bruno & Son, a NY importer no longer in existence.   This E Martin Maggini Copy Violin has the characteristic extra twist in the scroll and double purfling of a Maggini copy violin.  The violin has a moderately bright German tone and projects well.  Many overtones can be heard on this instrument from the G string to the E string.  It has no serious repairs.
