German 4/4 1880 Handmade Homolka Copy Violin

This fine old full size violin for sale is a Homolka copy made by a German maker sometime around 1880.  The false label on this violin claims it was made by a member of the Homolka family, in Prague, in 1876.  It is a well done copy and could almost pass for the real thing.  This instrument was quite nicely handmade; the wood is carved well and the violin has a fine yellow oil varnish.  It has a rich sound that is deep with many overtones.  This Homolka Violin has one insignificant repaired top crack and is otherwise in excellent condition.
