German 4/4 1850 Handmade Violin

This old full size German violin for sale is quite lovely sounding!  It was handmade c 1850 by an unknown German maker who was very exacting with his work.  This German Violin has a very interesting scroll and body.  The scroll is carved in a unique fashion with extra wood at the top and the body has a third piece of wood 1/2 inch wide down the center of the top.   The body to this violin is on the narrow side.  Overall, it is very well made.  There are no repairs aside from a small repaired f-hole crack.  This violin has a clear and crisp sound; it is not at all nasal.   It is very pleasant to listen to.
