Description
This 16 & 1/2 inch viola for sale is a Jacobus Hornsteiner E29 viola. It was made in Germany in 1962 and imported into the United States by Scherl and Roth. Its label says it is a handmade Stradivarius copy, indicating that this is a higher quality Hornsteiner than most. This 16 & 1/2″ Jacobus Hornsteiner Viola is well made; the wood is nicely carved. The varnish is an attractive golden orange and the pegs are made of rosewood. This Hornsteiner has no significant repairs. It has a deep and full sound that projects quite well.
For $2950.00, this viola will work nicely for an advancing violist.
