Description

This very attractive full size German violin for sale was made around 1920 and is a Stradivarius copy.  This violin was imported to the United States by Peate’s Music House and given the Italian sounding trade name “Leonardo Genaro”.  This violin is a high end German violin, and nicer than most other Genaro Violins.  It has well crafted body and lovely golden orange oil varnish not frequently found on German instruments.  The wood, both the spruce and maple, is good with a nice flame.  There is one repaired top crack over the lower right bout; however, this does not go over the soundpost.  This violin has a bold sound that projects and rings well.

Priced at $7700.00, this Genaro would make an excellent and reliable for advanced student/aspiring solo violinist.
