French 4/4 1900 Lyon and Healy “A Chicago” Violin Bow

This nice full size violin bow for sale was made in France over 100 years ago and imported into the United States by Lyon and Healy.  It is hard to determine the exact date of make, but the small print of Lyon and Healy indicates that it is an older bow.  As with many French bows, this Lyon and Healy has a wound silver thread grip.  The stick is made of pernambuco wood; the frog is ebony with a nice nickel mount.  In a mixture of French and English, the stamp reads “Lyon and Healy A Chicago”.  This L&H bow has good camber, no warping, and has held up beautifully.  This bow will play nicely for an advancing high school violinist.
