German 4/4 1970 Albert Knoll Nickel Pernambuco Violin Bow

$850.00

German 4/4 violin bow made by Albert Knoll c 1970.  Bow has a nickel mount, pernambuco stick, and ebony frog.

Description

This very nice, full sized violin bow was made by the Albert Knoll factory in Germany c 1970.  This violin bow is a very nice middle grade bow that bears the stamp “Albert Knoll” above the frog and “GERMANY” at the butt.   It was loved by its previous owner and the “G” of GERMANY is a bit worn.  This Knoll Violin Bow has a fine nickel mount, a nice ebony frog and a leather and winding grip.  It grips the strings nicely and produces a brighter and well projecting sound than many bows produce; it would pair well with a darker violin or a player looking confidence or projection.  It has no damages and the camber is good; the stick is slightly worn above the frog and is octagonal in shape.

Priced at $850.00, this Knoll bow will work excellently for an advanced high school student.
