German 4/4 Schweitzer copy violin; maker is not given. Crafted early 1900s. Highly flamed two-piece back and highly arched. Stamp on back. In good condition; minor repairs the only work done.
Description
This full size, German-made violin for sale is a Schweitzer copy. It bears only the false Schweitzer label, and thus, the German shop is unknown. The wood and varnish indicate that this Schweitzer Violin was made in the early 1900’s. It has a lovely, highly flamed two-piece back and is very highly arched. It is stamped on the back under the neck juncture. This violin has a repaired top crack and a repaired f hole crack, but it does not have any repairs that devalue it. This instrument has a decent and rather bright tone.
Priced at $575.00, this Schweitzer copy would be a solid beginner instrument for an aspiring violin player.
