German 4/4 Maggini copy violin made by Ernst Reinhold Schmidt c 1900. Violin has double purfling. Violin has been well used but remains in excellent condition.
Description
This E Reinhold Schmidt violin for sale is a Schmidt’s Standard violin and is an accurate Giovan Paolo Maggini copy violin. It was made in Saxony by the ER Schmidt company sometime around 1900. It has the extra turn in the scroll and double purfling on the top and back. The back is made of two-pieces and has tightly curled flame. The front has a fine, even grain. This E.R. Schmidt Maggini Copy Violin has a bright tone with long ringing harmonics. It is in excellent condition with no repairs.
Priced at $3800.00, this violin would be a good choice for a serious violin student.
