French 4/4 1900 JTL Gagliano Copy Violin

This fine French violin for sale was made around 1900 by the Jérôme Thibouville-Lamy (JTL) company in Mirecourt, FRANCE.  It is a copy of the old Cremonese violin maker Nicolas Gagliano.  It is a decent copy; the scroll looks good.  The varnish is a nice yellow-brown. There are no repairs to this JTL violin, but there are a few signs of wear in the varnish around the edge of the violin.  The sound is nice and full; it is darker and projects well as French violins are known to do.  This Nicolas Gagliano Copy Violin is not as bright as his violin’s often are.
