Description
This attractive 16 inch viola for sale was made in 2004 in Beijing, CHINA for West Coast Strings. The label, Albert Bassi, is the second highest label that West Coast Strings uses for their instruments. This 16″ Albert Bassi Viola is a quite fine viola. Its top is made of a tightly grained European spruce and the back is a rare and nicely flamed one-piece back. The varnish is a nice hand rubbed yellow brown spirit varnish. The viola has a rich tone that rings well; it is not at all nasal and not too dark. The Bassi is new from the factory and it has absolutely no blemishes.
At $4750.00, this 16″ Bassi viola is ideal for a serious and advanced high school violist.
