Brazilian 4/4 2012 Marco Raposo “José Nilo” Silver Violin Bow

This fine violin bow for sale was made in 2012 by the Marco Raposo bow company in Brazil.  This particular bow was handmade by bow maker José Nilo, who has produced fine work for Marco Raposo for several years.  This José Nilo Violin Bow has a round stick that is made of a fine pernambuco wood, as access to high quality wood is relatively easy in Brazil.  The frog is made of ebony with a Parisian pearl eye, and the mounting and winding are silver.  The stick is straight and strong; the camber is good.  This Raposo bow has a sweet sound.  It weights 62.7grams.
