Description
This fine 15 & 1/2 inch viola for sale was made in Hofner’s West German factory in 1984. This viola was made in the master workshop in Bubenreuth by master luthier Popl and is HC model 3/72. It has a very nice sound and is clearly a top Hofner instrument; by listening you would not know that this is not a full size viola. The 15 & 1/2″ Hofner Popl Viola is rich and rings well. It has been previously owned, but it is in perfect condition without repairs or dings. The varnish is an orange-brown and the construction is quite good.
Priced at $3400.00, this viola would be an excellent choice for a violist who is a little too small to play a full size viola but still serious about sounding good.
