German 4/4 H.R. Pfretzschner Silver Mounted Violin Bow

This very fine full size violin bow for sale was made by H.R. Pfretzschner around 1910.  Pfretzschner was so highly esteemed a bow maker that he was granted the right to use a German coat of arms, which can be seen stamped into the frog.  This particular violin bow is silver mounted, indicating that it is a high quality bow.  The stick is made of pernambuco, and it is in excellent condition, being straight and strong.  The H.R. Pfretzschner Violin Bowis a slightly heavier bow that handles very well.  The tone it draws is smooth and sonorous.
