German 4/4 violin bow made by Schicker c 2000. The bow has a nickel mounting on an ebony frog. Bow is used but looks new.
Description
This nice full size bow for sale was made in Dresden by the Horst Schicker workshop c 2000. It was handmade and is stamped “Schicker” over the frog and “GERMANY” at the butt. The stick is an upgraded pernambuco stick and the nice handling can be identified by simply picking up the bow. It draws a darker sound out of the violin when the bow is played. The fittings are nickel with an ebony frog. The Schicker looks brand new despite being previously used. It is a straight stick with good camber. This bow would make an excellent choice for an serious violinist.
