German 4/4 H.R Pfretzschner 1980 nickel mounted violin bow. Bow has had a replaced frog and is a great value for the price.
Description
This full size violin bow for sale was made by the H.R. Pfretzschner factory in Germany c 1980. It is nickel mounted and the octagonal stick is of pernambuco. Unfortunately the original frog was damaged, but it has been replaced with a well fitting ebony frog. This H.R. Pfretzschner Violin Bow has good balance and is straight and strong. It does show some signs of wear including a couple dings near the tip.
Priced at $750.00, this Pfretzschner is thoroughly reliable and would be a good choice for an advancing player who would like a good stick at a good price.
