German 4/4 1783 Johann Adam Martin Violin

This lovely old German full-size violin for sale contains an accurate and original label: Adam Martin, 1783.  Johann Adam Martin, who styled himself Adam Martin, was a Bavarian who moved to and worked in Markneukirchen, GERMANY.  He had a son who also made instruments, but he appears to have no relation to the E Martin factory of the late 1800’s.  Although this is an older instrument, it is in excellent condition.  The neck graft on this violin was done very well.  This Adam Martin Violin is a hand-carved early commercial grade instrument completed with Martin’s standard attractive brownoil varnish.  The sound of this violin is warm with many ringing overtones on the full register of notes.&nbsp
