German 16″ 2000 Franz Sandner Master 3109S Viola

This attractive 16 inch German viola for sale was made for the Knilling String Company by the well reputed Franz Sandner shop.  This particular Strad copy viola is Sandner’s top of the line  it is a 3109S Master Viola and was made in 2000.  The nice 2 piece back is highly flamed and very tightly curled wood; the front is a nice, tight grain spruce.  This 16″ Sandner Master Viola has a nice golden-orange spirit varnish.  The sound is that of a nice German instrument: bold, deep, and ringing.  The instrument is brand new and has no faults anywhere on the instrument.
