Description
This 16 & 1/2 inch viola for sale is the 16 & 1/2″ SX03 Maggini Copy Viola by West Coast Strings in CHINA. Made in 2005, this viola is a nice Paolo Maggini copy. It has double purling on the front and back as well as a fancy design on the back. The wood of this viola is quite good; it has a nice, tight grain on the front and a tight curl and good flame on the back. The varnish is a lovely orange-brown color. This WCS viola has a rich and deep sound that is crisp and not muddles; it has many overtones and carries well in a large space. It has no repairs and is in new condition.
For $3250.00, this WCS viola would be an excellent choice for an advanced student.
