American 4/4 1908 Thomas G. Rush Violin

This American made violin for sale was hand-carved by Thomas G. Rush in 1908.  Rush lived in Aurora, Ill where he worked making violins.  This particular violin has a nice yellow varnish on nice wood; the two piece back has a medium-tight curl and good flame.  The Rush violin has finely carved corners.  The violin has one repaired top crack on the upper left; even so, it is excellent condition.  The sound of the Rush is slightly dark and mellow; it has a big sound and rings nicely.  This instrument will be a nice choice for an advancing violinist looking for a unique violin.
