European 4/4 1800 Castaghery Copy Violin

This lovely full size European violin for sale is falsely labeled André Castaghery.  It is clear that this violin was not made by the Italian working in Paris, but it is not clear where it was made.  This violin is quite old; probably from around 1800.  It has a lovely neck graft and bushed pegs.  This instrument has an excellent, bold sound to it; it projects much more easily than many instruments from this time period.  The Castaghery has been well kept; there are a few minor repaired top and back cracks, but none affect the instrument’s value.  An advancing violinist would sound marvelous playing on this beautiful violin.
