German 15 & 1/2″ 1960 Heberlein Copy Viola

This German viola for sale measures 15 & 1/2 inches in length and is a Heinrich Th. Heberlein Jr copy from 1960 in Markneukirchen, GERMANY. It is a very nice viola that unfortunately has a surface/varnish sound post crack.  The crack does not go entirely through the wood and has been appropriately repaired.  This viola also has a small repaired f hole crack and saddle crack.  There is a well used look to the viola’s varnish.  The sound of this instrument is big and full without any dull notes.  This instrument will give a very high quality sound for the cost because of the sound post crack.  It would make a nice viola for an advancing violist, especially for a violist looking for a good deal.
